Cumbernauld is the home of Clyde F.C., a football soccer team who play in the Scottish Third Division. Their ground stadium is called Broadwood. Clyde FC previously played in Rutherglen before moving to Cumbernauld. They are sponsored by [Optical Express] who's CEO is believed to be a fan of the club. Games are generally on a Saturday at 3pm. Cumbernauld also has a Junior football side, [Cumbernauld United] who play at Guy's Meadow.
